Looking to return to work and want a role that lets you do what you love – supporting children and families – without the pressure of running a business or managing people?

Zanda Speech & OT is a well-established paediatric clinic based in Melbourne’s inner north-east. We’re looking for a warm and experienced speech pathologist to take over a caseload from a valued team member heading off on maternity leave.

This is a great opportunity to step into a well-established caseload, with families who are engaged in therapy and supported by detailed therapy plans, clear goals, and documented strategies. You’ll receive a structured handover period, including shadowing, to make the transition smooth and enjoyable.

About The Role

You’ll support children aged 1–12 across a range of clinical areas, including:

  • Early language intervention, with a strong focus on parent education and coaching
  • Speech sound disorders (including motor speech disorders)
  • School readiness skills
  • Social communication, including play and conversation skills
  • Supporting families of young children who are early in their journey with Autism Spectrum Disorder using play-based, neuroaffirming, and parent coaching approaches
  • AAC, including LAMP and Proloquo2Go
  • Most sessions are based at our Ivanhoe hub, with some local mobile visits to homes, kinders, or schools in the Ivanhoe/Preston area (within 15 minutes of the clinic). The session schedule and caseload are largely pre-set, but there is some opportunity to make small changes for the right candidate to help things fit in with family life.

Why Zanda?

At Zanda, our mission is to help children socialise, learn, and thrive. We deliver a personalised, outcome-focused service that empowers families and supports their goals in everyday life. We offer occupational therapy to our clients through a key worker model, and this is an exciting time to join as we evolve alongside upcoming NDIS reforms to give families the best possible support.

Support and Supervision

If you're employed in a salaried role, you'll have access to excellent supervision and support. We take this seriously and invest in doing it well – you'll feel guided and connected, not left to figure things out on your own.

If you're working as a subcontractor, you're very welcome to attend our world-class supervision and training program (note: attendance is optional and unpaid). This includes a mix of internal professional development sessions, guest speakers, and team-based knowledge sharing – where staff present key takeaways from external PDs and certification courses. It’s a great way to stay connected, continue learning, and feel part of a thriving clinical team.

What We Offer
  • A kind, collaborative, and values-driven team
  • Beautiful, well-resourced therapy spaces
  • Structured schedules with time allocated for planning and documentation
  • Great therapy templates and systems that make admin easier
  • Admin support and scheduling all managed for you
  • Up-to-date NDIS knowledge provided, so you can focus on therapy
  • Friday afternoon team training sessions that are practical, engaging, and help reduce the isolation that can come with private practice

Salary & Engagement Options

Salaried (Full-Time or Part-Time): $100,000 – $120,000 FTE + super + PD + travel allowance (commensurate with experience)

Contractor: $125 – $150 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Includes full access to rooms, admin support, scheduling, and resources

About You

  • Experienced paediatric speech pathologist with current SPA membership
  • Confident working across the clinical areas listed above
  • Comfortable with a family-centred, play-based, neuroaffirming approach
  • Holds a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Ready to start from Monday 4th August 2025 (with flexibility if needed)
