Libby

Libby is a paediatric occupational therapist who firmly believes the best therapy doesn't feel like therapy at all. Her practice is built on relationships: getting to know each child, what lights them up, and working from there. Being a big kid herself, play is the foundation for all my sessions - it might not look like work, and that's the point: children thrive when they feel safe and want to engage. Nine years of specialist experience, from paediatric chronic pain and rheumatology in the UK to senior and clinical lead roles in Australia focusing on developmental delays, neurodivergence and early intervention, means Libby can be flexible, whilst integrating a child's goals into every session. Building a fort, racing to the letterbox, an in-depth debate about dinosaurs: if a child is engaged, progress is being made. Libby loves partnering with families and schools so the wins stick beyond our sessions.

When Libby is not in the clinic, you might spot her running sensory spaces at the MCG or Disney On Ice.  Creating inclusive spaces is integral to Libby's practice, wherever she is. Libby is also a published poet and facilitates workshops to support OTs to integrate creativity into their practice.
